The melting pot of a city of Mumbai has many examples of Gothic architecture. Looking at these buildings seemed as good a way as any to introduce the students to the history of the city. We took a walk around the Fort area of the city, where most of these buildings are, I pointed out the different features of gothic architecture, and then just let them sketch away. We worked with these sketches once we got back to class, with gorgeous results!
