Textured Landscape

The landscape started off with random textures on a cardboard. Students had to paint a landscape on one part of it and paint it using pure hues. In the next two panels, the landscape was successively abstracted to geometric shapes. The textures added to the abstraction. The assignments helped middle schoolers learn about abstracting images.
