A very happy new and creative year to all my readers and followers. My new year resolution is to post more frequently than I have done in the past months and I hope to make this blog very interactive. So come on all you guys out there! Let us have many more comments and meaningful dialogue.
And now for the first post of 2013.
Egyptian art is a real enigma. Every aspect of it provides a learning opportunity and it is fascinating to children and adults alike. And the mythology is as rich and varied as Indian mythology. So here is another art lesson based on drawing profiles.
After learning to draw profile heads, children gave them Egyptian headdresses and collars. They stamped hieroglyphs on strips of paper from rubber stamps…they just loved it! They insisted on doing the mount with these stamps as well.
