Strokes of genius!

I am back after almost two months and believe me I have missed writing all this while. But it was heartening to see on the site stats that inspire of being slow in posting, so many of you have regularly visited the blog, so it makes me feel kind of guilty. I am not going to give excuses for not posting, but rather give you a promise that I will begin posting regularly again.

So here we go! My first and second graders had a go at Van Gogh. They heard the story of his life and looked at his paintings. ( It is amazing that the most memorable incident for them seems to be the cutting off of his ear lobe) Then with loads of brightly colored tissue paper, they set out to recreate his brush strokes in a vibrant rendition of the sunflowers. I couldn’t resist but put so many of them. See how proud the children are of their pictures!
