Expressionist Trees

On an outdoor sketching session, students had fun making studies of the tree anatomy. using paints, they painted their trees using expressionist brush strokes and colours. See the beautiful results.

They also worked with clay slabs, pressing them on the bark to get the texture on the clay. They also took some leaf impressions on clay. FInally, they put together their slabs. some used leaves, some made butterflies, while some put actual petals to complete their work
