Painting to Kandinsky’s Tunes!

Kandinsky found a mystic link between music and art and would paint to music. I showed my students his work and pointed out his flowing lines, the shapes he used, and the way he would repeat these shapes across his paintings to create a sense of rhythm. I then gave them a chance to act like they were Kandinsky- I played some music in class, and asked them to paint to it. I have to say, I was amazed at the great results I got!
